Introduction: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into yoga?
I’m a 52 year old mum, wife and director of a local B2B telephone marketing company. I work hard, go to the gym and love to spend time with my family and friends. I got into yoga to try and help with some physical conditions and do something for myself. My lovely friend Carol also wanted to give it a try too, I knew Jordanna so her class was the perfect solution for me and Carol.
Yoga Journey:
What motivated you to start practicing yoga?
I was having issues with my shoulders and hips and although it had been investigated and everything was physically fine, I was having physio, the pain was not getting better so I thought I would try yoga and then just under a year ago started at an amazing gym to work on my strength. The combination has turned things around. I also wanted time to myself and the relaxation.
How has yoga positively impacted your life? The physical benefits, my mobility has improved, I am stronger, I have less issues with my shoulders and my hips are fine now but also, I have met amazing people, am part of a supportive community, have learnt how to relax deeply and having just taken on a new role in my professional life it provides me with time to focus on me.
